Visit Florida updates

To better understand and measure the impact of COVID-19 on Florida’s tourism industry, VISIT FLORIDA has created a data dashboard to track key economic indicators and trends, including:
  • Hotel demand
  • Vacation rental bookings
  • Airline capacity
  • Web traffic relating to vacation planning
This one-of-a-kind VISIT FLORIDA dashboard will be constantly updated with the latest information and insight into the impact of COVID-19. For more information and to view the data dashboard, click here.
VISIT FLORIDA is also encouraging tourism-related businesses who have been impacted by COVID-19 to participate in the Department of Economic Opportunity’s business damage assessment survey. Gathering data on the impact caused by COVID-19 now will help ensure that Florida communities can recover as quickly as possible.

Below are additional resources for businesses:
Small Business Bridge Loans
On March 16, Governor Ron DeSantis activated the Florida Small Business Emergency Bridge Loan Program to support small businesses impacted by COVID-19. The bridge loan program, managed by the Florida Department of Economic Opportunity (DEO), provides short term, interest-free loans to small businesses that experience economic injury from COVID-19. Applications will be accepted through May 8, 2020, contingent on the availability of funds. Click here for more information.
On March 20, Governor DeSantis announced the first awards from this important program.

Reemployment Assistance
Governor DeSantis has reminded Floridians that if their employment has been negatively impacted because of mitigation efforts to stop the spread of COVID-19, these Floridians may be eligible to receive Reemployment Assistance. Click here for more information.
