Proceeds benefit the foundation's museum and programs. Visit oirf.org or call 305-294-9501.   December 31, 2018 Annual Key West Dachshund Walk Frost-free Key West becomes a "wiener wonderland" when about 200 dachshunds and their owners take a noontime New Year's Eve stroll through the island's picturesque downtown. SHOULDER CLOSURES: There will be daytime isolated shoulder closures and lane shifts in both northbound and southbound directions, to accommodate pedestrian bridge railing installation, over the next couple of weeks. This work will occur between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m .  Roadway Construction Project:  SR 5/US 1 /Overseas Highway from Ohio-Bahia Honda Channel to Seven Mile Bridge between MM 38.647 and MM 39.993   Project Start: June 2018   Estimated Projected Completion: December 2018    PLANNED CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITY: Shoulder closures to occur this week.   SHOULDER CLOSURES: There will be daytime shoulder closures in both northbound and southbound directions, to accommodate shoulder widening. This will occur between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. this week.   Bridge Rehabilitation Project: SR 5/US 1/Overseas Highway/New Seven Mile Bridge (Moser Channel) (MM 40 to MM 46.8) Project Start: April 2017 Estimated Projected Completion: October 2019 PLANNED CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITY: There are no planned construction activities at this time. However, please note that effective Monday, December 24, all daytime lane shifts will be temporarily suspended and resume on Wednesday, January 2, 2019.   Bridge Repair/Rehabilitation Project: SR 5/US 1/Overseas Highway/Old Seven Mile Bridge from Knights Key to Pigeon Key (MM 46.8 to MM 44.6) Project Start: September 2017 Estimated Projected Completion: October 2021 PLANNED CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITY: The Contractor will continue performing steel repair work under the bridge this week. However, please note that effective Monday, December 24, construction activities will be temporarily suspended and resume on Thursday, January 3, 2019.
