Vice Mayor Sam Kaufman and Mayor Teri Johnston joined with the entire City Commission to commend the city’s first responders for their dedication during the current health emergency.
During the Covid-19 pandemic, the City of Key West has relied upon first responders to protect the well-being of all members of the Key West community,” reads the proclamation. “Members of the Key West Police Department, the Key West Fire Department and Key West Code Compliance Department have provided selfless service in the interests of preserving public health.”
The officials noted that first responders, at substantial personal risk, have diligently worked to crush the curve and to aid individuals and families that are facing health challenges.
“Frontline officers and emergency personnel continue to demonstrate professionalism and dedication,” it reads, “always putting the health and safety of the people of Key West first.”

Customer Rep and Roofer Seats Available for Contractors Examining Board
The City of Key West would like to announce that there are two vacancies on the seven-member Contractor’s Examining Board (CEB). These positions are appointed by Mayor Teri Johnston.
