Fantasty Fest
Fantasy Fest is an annual 10-day party in paradise for grown-ups. Fantasy Fest has grown every year since its inception in 1979, and is now the wildest extravaganza around! Revelers from around the globe descend upon Key West each year in October for 10 days filled with costuming, parades, libations, and excitement!  This year, be on the lookout for a local celebrity at one of Fantasy Fest's official "Hubs," the Southernmost House. Known endearingly to employees and guests as Abbott the Southernmost Rabbit, this fluffy rodent calls the historic property home. Abbott has a charmed life: he enjoys long hops on the beach, eating Cheerios, and playing tag with his friends.  Abbot is one of nine bunnies that call the Southernmost House home. They're all cute, but Abbott is the favorite because he never leaves the property, and according to staff, gives the best cuddles. Abbott might be shy during the crowds of Fantasy Fest, but he is known to crash weddings and make surprise appearances at events, so keep a lookout.  For more info and a schedule of events, visit www.fantasyfest.com

The ride is a family event beginning with a registration at 6:00 with the Lighted Bike Ride beginning at 7:00pm.  Families and individuals with lighted and decorated bikes ride through the streets for the community to see.
Holiday Helpers is a collaboration of agencies with a goal of assisting Monroe County's working poor, through the December holidays, by providing gifts to those families in need.
Eligible parents walk through the Holiday Store; empowered by the ability to pick free, new toys (obtained though events like the Lighted Bike Ride) their children will want instead of just allocating non-specific toys to parents.

This now iconic event draws over 4,000 people to Key West over four different weekends in December, January, February and March. Tour attendees are a very discerning crowd with an eye towards quality in where they stay, eat and spend their time. This is an opportunity for you to get in front of this important audience.
OIRF is making it easier than ever to become a Key West Home Tours™ Sponsor. You can contribute cash and/or you can provide us with in-kind products such as gift certificates, tickets, food and drink and more. Be creative – we like to barter. Contact Kathy at info@oirf.org or 305-294-9501. Also, don't forget about our 57th Annual Conch Shell Blowing Contest on Saturday, March 2, 2019!

March 6 - Apr 1 ~Tennessee Williams Month-Long Birthday Celebration
Key West Art & Historical Society announces "The Library" as the theme of the 2019 Tennessee Williams Birthday Celebration, set to run March 6 – April 1 at multiple Key West venues. Each year a festival of events, including a limited ticket kick-off celebration, plein air painting, poetry and short story writing contests, live readings, lectures and museum tours, film showings, live theater events, and birthday party complete with cake and bubbly, honor the life and accomplishments of Williams, whose rise to stardom began with "The Glass Menagerie," and continued with "A Streetcar Named Desire," "Cat on a Hot Tin Roof," and other dramatic masterpieces. The 2019 celebration marks the Pulitzer Prize winning playwright, poet, and artist's 108thbirthday. A thirty-four year resident of the island, Williams was an avid patron and supporter of the Library in Key West, raising money to build its auditorium and making a rare, thirty-minute recording of a selection of his poetry expressly for them. The largest collection of Tennessee Williams memorabilia available in the world can be visited year-round at the Tennessee Williams Museum, 513 Truman Avenue in Key West. Visit KWAHS.ORG for event dates and updates or contact Dani Holliday, 305-295-6616 x 114.
